A three-legged dog was supposed to be euthanized. Thankfully, her new owner stepped in and gave the dog a new shot at life. The dog is named Nala and she was a stray in Houston, Texas. Nobody knows what happened to the dog but it is believed she was hit by a car. She wandered into a church and people there saw she was injured.

Hubby is a veterinarian, and he always says what a wonder it is to see a dog or cat lose a limb, because they adapt SO well!!!! 👍
The dog is named Nala and she was a stray in Houston, Texas. Nobody knows what happened to the dog but it is believed she was hit by a car. She wandered into a church and people there saw she was injured.
A shelter was called but they did not have the resources to have Nala’s leg amputated so she was placed in the euthanasia list. Lance McCullers Foundation stepped in and paid for Nala’s leg to be amputated.
How Nala Was Kept Out Of The Euthanasia List
After her leg was amputated, she was placed in a foster home for a month. Later, she was transported by the Rescued Pets Movement to Colorado. Even before she got to Colorado, her owner already put a hold on her. The dog owner really wanted a pit bull for the longest time and when she met Nala, she knew it was right to adopt her.
The dog is doing so well with her new owners. Whenever someone pities her for having only three legs, the dog owner says they shouldn’t feel that because there is nothing that Nala cannot do that a four-legged dog could.
Nala loves climbing, running, and may other things. She is amazing!
