A dog named Hazel was taken care of by an amazing family. The dog was blind, and the family made sure they did what they could to help the dog navigate life. The people who care for Hazel helped her by using a lot of sound signals. They also made sure that their furniture is safely tucked against the walls so that Hazel had plenty of room to walk around.

Hazel’s Story
At the start of the time that Hazel was with her foster family, they noticed she was really sweet, but didn’t seem like she was happy. Her tail did not wag. A couple days after being shown some love, care, and understanding, Hazel was a completely different dog. She became really happy and played with the toys she never played with before.
Later, they took Hazel to the animal hospital to undergo surgery so she can have her sight back. The goal is to have the dog operated on so that she can be adopted out. During the time that she was undergoing surgery, a second foster family stepped in to help take care of her. It took some time for Hazel to get her vision back, but she eventually did!
Hazel is so happy and excited that she can see again. She smiles non-stop and is always up for new adventures! The second foster family had a difficult time saying goodbye to Hazel, but they know her new loving home will let her have a wonderful life. Hazel is the happiest in her new home!
