A family was in Missouri visiting for the holidays. They had their dog with them, a Golden Retriever named Walter, and he slipped out of his collar while out on a walk then ran away. The family has been looking for him for months, but they never found him. The family stayed for two extra weeks in hopes of finding Walter. So many people tried to help them find the scared dog, but there was no luck.

Dog Turns Up A Year Later
The organization called Lost Paws helped find Walter. They tried to track him down but they couldn’t trap him. Just recently, they saw Walter come by the shelter. They had a trap set up on the first night, but he did not come by. On the second night, Walter stole a bowl and went inside the trap.
The fur mom flew to Missouri and their reunion was nothing short of emotional. The dog smelled terrible and had fleas all over him. That means no one found the dog the whole time he was missing and was surviving on his own.
When Walter got home and he saw his human dad and furry sibling, they were all very excited to be reunited.
