A nonprofit organization called Inspiring Our Warriors of America (IOWA) was launched in 2019 to provide service dogs to first responders and veterans. These dogs help people who with various medical conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic lung problems. Multiple applications and months of training with IOWA service dogs is required that includes learning about dog behaviors and body language. This process includes in-depth dog training and discipline that allows the dogs to serve their owners on a nearly constant basis.
- Doc is a 2 year old Labrador that can pick up a leash on command and return it to it’s owner.
