Fenix’s condition is caused by his cerebellum not forming properly when he was still little. According to the dog owners, Fenix got dropped off at a kill shelter with his sister, who has the same condition. His sister, Nube, was likewise adopted by someone else.

The dogs couldn’t even stand up and were emaciated when they were found. They were about to be put into the kill list when they were finally adopted.
