A rescue dog was staying with her foster family and had an unexplainable fear of going inside the house of the people taking care of her. The fosterers wondered if the dog had never been inside a house in the past.

In the video, you could see the dog owner trying to give the dog some treats for it to get inside the house. However, the dog would just stretch her body as far as it can go to get the treat by not actually coming inside the house.
The first days were difficult because the dog was just learning that she was safe inside the home and there was nothing to be afraid of. She wanted to make a connection but her fears got the best of her.
The Dog Overcomes Her Fears
Someone told the fosterers that maybe the dog was just afraid of the wooden floors in the home. Because the fosterers wanted to give the dog the best chance of getting adopted, they made sure the dog would be okay in terms of her behavior.
The fosterers took out every tarp, rugs, and anything else that could cover the wooden floor. Eventually, the dog was able to overcome her fear! It was amazing to see her change from the scared dog to a really confident one. They took away the covers of the wooden floor one by one until she could already walk on the floor with confidence.
A woman said she wanted to adopt the dog. When she was told of the fear of the dog, she said, “That’s OK. I’ll buy rugs.”
It was an amazing transformation, don’t you think?
