A Labrador was so scared to leave his crate at the home of his fosterer. The dog later learned to be a happy pup and trusted people again. The fosterer was actually fostering a dog for the first time when she saw him at the shelter. She knew that he needed her help so she was happy to take him home.

That’s how I won my terrified rescue Weimie over. Sat in the floor outside his crate “love talking” him and feeding him treats. SO worth it!! 💕💗 He’s now so confident & full of joy! I’ve never had a happier pup!

Dog’s Journey To Becoming Happy
The dog was very skinny at first and did not want anything to do with the fosterer. The dog’s cage at the fosterer’s home was sort of like a safe place for the animal and never wanted to leave it.
What the fosterer did to gain the trust of the dog was to sit on the floor beside the cage and give the animal some treats. Slowly but surely, the dog put his guard down and started to heal with the help of the fosterer.
Two days after the dog was in his foster home, he finally got out of the cage and wanted to explore the home. The dog felt really safe and the fosterer was so happy to see the animal going out of his shell. The fosterer’s own dog also helped the foster dog with his healing process.
The dog’s happiness shone through within just two months of having the attention, love, and care that he needs.
Came adoption day, the dog was ready to be moved to his fur-ever home!
