A cleft puppy met his owner when he was only hours old. The dog is named Zeph and he was born with a cleft palate. The owner said Zeph cuddled up with her right away and she felt the connection with the tiny pup. Because of that, she was decided to take him home once he was ready.

Because of the condition of Zeph, he had to stay at the rescue center for a bit. He had to be fed through a tube to make sure he was hydrated and eating well. Initially, the dog owner fostered Zeph when he was only six weeks old.
The dog owner fell in love with Zeph more because he was just so well-behaved, had a good temperament, and was very clever. Later, after getting the certain weight needed to push through with the surgery for his cleft palate, they went ahead and did just that. After his recovery, he went back to his now-owner and that was officially the time he was home for good!
Zeph’s Job
Zeph’s owner now fosters pups of all ages and conditions. Zeph helps her out by being the best foster brother! He loves it when other pups are at their home because he has someone to play with.
Zeph is so gentle and amazing towards the other dogs that come to their home. He knows how to interact with different pups depending on their age. He lets the babies climb on top of him and he plays with those who are older.
