The dog is named Emma and the shelter initially thought the family would come back and pick her up. However, no one ever did.
Couple Gives Dog A Second Shot At Life
A couple gave Emma a second shot at life so she can still live the best remaining years of her life. The dog is already 14 years old and only 4.5 pounds. The couple intentionally looked at social media pages to see if any dogs needed a home and they actually fostered a bunch of dogs in the past.
When they saw Emma’s photos, their hearts broke and they knew they needed to call about Emma. Initially, the couple wanted to just foster Emma until they decided to adopt her.
The dog has come a long way since the couple adopted her. She interacts with the other dogs in the house and is comfortable in her new home. The other dogs of the couple are seniors, too!
