A rescue dog would just stay inside her crate and her bed all day. The dog named Cricket just shut down and was tired and disinterested.

Seeing the spark of life on her face is just heartwarming. All the best lil one 💖👍

It is unclear what happened to Cricket but she and the other dogs surrendered, who are her siblings, were clearly neglected for a long time.

Foster Mom Takes Her Home

A foster mom took Cricket home so she could decompress. Eventually, that led to the dog showing her true colors. She was very affectionate and always asked for cuddles. The dog started becoming more comfortable around people and started to show trust and happiness.

It took more time for the dog to look better physically, but she was a soldier and was able to return to normalcy as per her physical attributes.

After two months of love, care, and attention from her foster mom, Cricket got adopted. This is another great story showing how a dog can transform if given the chance.

The reasons behind why rescue dogs don’t want to leave their beds

We are all human beings and we can understand how frustrating it is when our pets are not interested in any of our activities. But do you really know the reasons behind it? Do you know why your dog doesn’t want to go out or why she/he is sleeping all day?

I would say that all of us can relate to it. We may have had an experience that we don’t like at all. If you are going through this situation then I will tell you that there are many reasons why your dog is not leaving the bed and not moving out.

Excessive sleeping

This is the most common reason that your dog is sleeping all day. Most of us think that dogs sleep a lot because they have no other work to do. But if you take a close look at the dogs that are sleeping all day, you will find out that they are tired and exhausted.

They are just not able to move and there is nothing to do, so they choose to sleep.

But if you wake them up from their sleep, they may become aggressive. So, it is important that you should always keep them awake and active during daytime.

You may also need to change their diet, as some dogs are prone to obesity. In such cases, they will become very tired and sleepy.

If you see your dog sleeping excessively, then it is a good idea to consult with your veterinarian. They will help you in finding the best way to treat your dog.

Lack of mental stimulation

Some of the dogs don’t like to move out of the bed because they are afraid of going outside. This is the most common reason behind it. They are not aware of the outside world and they are scared of the unknown.

But if you keep them inside the house and let them run around freely then they will be able to learn new things. This will keep them happy and healthy.

If you notice that your dog is not moving from their bed, then you need to consult with your vet.
