Opal wagging her tail is hilarious. I’m so glad Opal sustained no permanent damage but sheesh, five months in that corrective muzzle must have felt like a lifetime, poor thing. I bet Duke is happy to have his very own little soul mate. 💗

Initially, the dog owner just offered to foster the rescued pittie. They fell in love with this rescued pittie, named Opal, because she was so resilient. When Opal was found, she had her jaw wired so they had to keep a muzzle on her during recovery. Despite that, Opal was so full of love and energy.
Older Pitbull Loves This New Dog
When Opal was brought home to be fostered, that was the first time she met the other pitbull in the house, Duke. Duke and Opal were both wagging their tails when they met each other. However, they had to be kept separated at first because of Opal’s injuries. The problem was, the two were really giving these sad puppy eyes because they did not want to be separate. They were only able to separate the two dogs for three days until the fosterers gave in to the dogs’ requests.
When Opal was let out, the two just cuddled. They didn’t even play. They just laid on the floor and cuddled. It was the sweetest thing!
Opal had to be restricted with a muzzle for five months until it was deemed okay to have it removed. She was healed and they took her to get her own toy. They then took Opal home and Duke was so excited to see her without any muzzle on.
Since then, the two got to play more and Opal’s personality just shone through. Because of the bond that Opal and Duke had, the family decided to keep Opal as it would be unfair to separate them.
