So many dogs are left in shelters and it’s always a happy story when they find their fur-ever home. that’s exactly what happened to a dog that has been at a shelter for more than 1,000 days as he has been with them since 2015.
Deborah writes in the comments:
Kudos to that shelter for keeping him that long. This dog looks like he’s been well cared for. I’m so glad he went to such a loving home. ❤
The dog doesn’t even know what it is like to be outside of the shelter or to be with a family because the shelter has been his home for the past five years.
Shelter Tries Everything To Get Him Adopted
The Humane Society where the dog has been with tried everything to get the dog adopted. Fortunately, the shelter did not want to give up on the doggie.
After years of waiting, the shelter finally got a call inquiring about the dog named Merrick. The dog got adopted by a male and at first, Merrick wasn’t sure of his new home. The dog even wanted to leave upon arrival. Eventually, the dog became comfortable and started exploring his new home.
It’s so nice to see stories about doggies finding their fur-ever home. If you loved this video, share it on social media!
