Other Tricks You Can Teach Your Dog

The first rick is teaching your dog to pray or give grace. Just teach your dog to sit and rest its paws on your arms. To get the dog’s nose under your arm, just use a treat and he will successfully do the pray or give grace trick.

Next is letting your dog freeze so the treat can sit steadily on its nose. Just hold your dog’s face gently in place and put the treat on top of the dog’s nose. Tell your dog to freeze and repeat it a couple of times until he gets the idea.

Teaching your dog how to freeze is the first step by using the verbal cue “freeze” and showing them what happens when you tell that word.

You can also ask them to twirl or spin, also by using a treat as a lure, jump up on you, and many more. Just be sure to take it slow and not be frustrated when your dog does not get it the first time. Dogs are very smart and they will surely get it the more that you teach the trick to them.
